Itinerary

DAY 1

CUSCO – PISKACUCHO KM 82 – LLACTAPATA- AYAPATA

In the Inca Trail Group Tour, we start by picking you up from your hotel in Cusco, Urubamba, or Ollantaytambo. The trek begins at Km 82, where you need your passport for entry. The first part of the hike is relatively easy, leading to Patallacta, an ancient Inca site. After lunch, we continue for two more hours to the first night’s camp at Ayapata. You can purchase supplies during the hike. After arriving at the camp around 5:00 PM, you can relax, enjoy dinner at 7:30 PM, and rest.

DAY 2

PASS OF THE DEAD WOMAN (WARMIWAÑUSKA) – RUNCCURACAY PASS – CHAQUICCOCHA

On the second day of the Inca Trail Tour, we start early. We have a 4-hour hike to reach the highest point, the Dead Woman’s Pass. Then, we descend to the Pacaymayu Valley for lunch and continue to the second pass, where we visit an Inca site called Runcu Raccay and see waterfalls. Afterward, we reach Sayacmarca to rest and watch the sunset. We end the day at the Chaquicocha campsite, where, after dinner, you can stargaze in the impressive southern hemisphere sky, away from artificial light.

DAY 3

CHAQUICCOCHA – WIÑAYWAYNA
Completing day 2 and starting day 3 certainly deserves recognition. On the third day, we start early at 6:30 am. This day is the most beautiful along the Inca Trail, with stunning views of Salkantay and Machu Picchu. We pass through Phuyupatamarka and Wiñay Wayna, two notable Inca sites. In the afternoon, you’ll prepare for the visit to Machu Picchu the following day. You’ll enjoy a feast with the team and a thanksgiving ceremony. It’s advisable to rest early for a magical sunrise at Machu Picchu.

DAY 4

SUN GATE – MACHU PICCHU

On the last day of the 4D/3N Inca Trail Tour, we start early at 3:30 AM and arrive at Machu Picchu at sunrise.
